Dacia reveals new spring EV with longer range and fresh design

Dacia has revealed the second-generation Spring EV for the European market, featuring a completely redesigned exterior and a maximum range of 250 km.

The new Spring EV is based on Renault Group’s RGEV Small platform and adopts a boxy exterior design. The front features sharp LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, a gloss black fascia and a two-tone bumper.

At the rear, the electric car gets compact C-shaped LED taillights linked by a black trim element carrying Dacia lettering.

Inside, the Spring EV features a two-tone dashboard with a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, alongside a three-spoke steering wheel and digital instrument cluster.

Power comes from a 27.5 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor. The powertrain produces 80.5 BHP and 175 Nm, with Dacia claiming a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 12.1 seconds.

The Spring EV offers a maximum driving range of 250 km and supports 50 kW fast charging. The battery can be charged from 15 per cent to 80 per cent in around 28 minutes.
