BikeWo Green Tech has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with electric tractor manufacturer Moonrider to evaluate opportunities for deploying electric tractors across institutional, commercial and specialised use cases.
The partnership will bring together Moonrider’s electric tractor technology with BikeWo’s capabilities in fleet deployment, leasing, operations and institutional customer engagement. The companies will assess potential applications and deployment models based on the operating requirements of enterprise customers.
The proposed use cases span agriculture, industrial facilities, warehouses, logistics hubs, airports, ports and other environments where vehicles operate on defined routes or under high-utilisation conditions. The companies will jointly identify potential customers, evaluate pilot opportunities and explore suitable commercial models.
BikeWo will also look at supporting Moonrider’s existing and prospective customers through fleet deployment, leasing and operational services. Any specific vehicle procurement, leasing or deployment arrangements will be subject to separate agreements between the parties.
Hiten Pal Saklani, CEO, BikeWo Green Tech, said the collaboration will focus on identifying applications where the operating profile and economics can support the adoption of electric tractors. He added that combining Moonrider’s product capabilities with BikeWo’s institutional relationships and operational infrastructure could help develop commercially viable deployment models.
The partnership also forms part of BikeWo’s broader expansion into specialised electric mobility applications beyond conventional last-mile transportation. The company is exploring collaborations with original equipment manufacturers and technology providers across different vehicle categories to develop integrated deployment solutions for enterprise and institutional customers.
Founded in 2023, Moonrider develops heavy-duty electric tractors for agricultural, industrial and fleet applications. BikeWo operates across vehicle deployment, leasing, fleet management and supporting mobility infrastructure, with a focus on enterprise and institutional customers.
