Maruti Suzuki India Limited has unveiled the new Baleno, bringing a refreshed design, enhanced safety technologies and premium features to its popular hatchback. Built around the ‘Dare to go Glam’ philosophy, the new Baleno is aimed at young and ambitious urban customers seeking a combination of style, technology and performance.
The new Baleno introduces a distinctive exterior design led by an updated NEXWave grille, a sculpted front bumper, chrome-finished details and NEXTre’ LED DRLs. The model is offered in seven colour options, including the new Enigmatic Teal shade, adding to its premium and contemporary appeal.
A major highlight of the new model is the introduction of first-in-segment Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Combining radar and camera technology, the system offers features including Advanced Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, High Beam Assist, Vehicle Sway Warning and Forward Collision Warning.
The new Baleno also comes equipped with a range of safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Programme, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Hold Control, reverse parking sensors, three-point seat belts and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
Inside, the hatchback features a dual-tone cabin with piano-black inserts and introduces first-in-segment ventilated front seats with leatherette upholstery. Other additions include a Premium Sound System by Clarion, a Qi-certified wireless smartphone charger with active cooling, a 360-degree View Camera and a Head-Up Display.
The vehicle features a 22.86 cm SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Suzuki Connect telematics offering more than 40 connected features covering vehicle safety, security, driving behaviour, alerts and remote operations.
Powering the new Baleno is the Advanced Z12E engine with Idle Start-Stop technology and Dual VVT. The petrol powertrain produces 61 kW of maximum power and 112.4 Nm of peak torque and is available with a five-speed manual transmission and Auto Gear Shift (AGS) option. The manual variant delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.80 km/l, while the AGS variant offers 24.77 km/l.
The Baleno S-CNG is also available with the Z12E engine and five-speed manual transmission, delivering a claimed fuel efficiency of 33.61 km/kg.

Bookings for the new Baleno are open at Rs 11,000, with prices starting at Rs 6,09,900 ex-showroom in Bengaluru. Customers can also personalise the vehicle with two accessory collections: the Elegrande Collection, focused on understated sophistication, and the Novo-Spirit Collection, designed for a more contemporary and spirited look.
