Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV) is strengthening its growth strategy with a focused push towards international markets, building on the momentum of its electric two-wheeler business in India.
The company is evaluating opportunities across Turkey, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt, with Turkey representing a key European opportunity, while the neighbouring markets and African countries offer potential for electric two-wheelers.
Kinetic EV is currently assessing market opportunities, regulatory environments, customer requirements and potential partnerships as it works towards establishing a sustainable international business.
The international expansion follows growing momentum in the company’s domestic network. Kinetic Watts & Volts currently has 45 exclusive showrooms operational across India, with another 40 outlets expected to become operational over the next two months. The company has also issued 150 Letters of Intent (LOIs) for its exclusive dealership network, reflecting interest from prospective partners.
The company is simultaneously laying the groundwork for its international business by evaluating markets based on their potential for electric two-wheelers, evolving EV ecosystems and distribution and partnership opportunities.
To support its global expansion strategy, Makarand Joshi has joined Kinetic Watts & Volts to spearhead international business development. He brings more than two decades of experience in developing international markets for Indian automotive products across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
His experience spans multiple automotive segments, including two-wheelers, commercial vehicles and tractors, along with international market development, business expansion and distribution network development.
Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd., said the company sees international markets as an important opportunity in its electric mobility journey and aims to take its India-built electric mobility proposition to diverse global markets.
He added that the company’s growing domestic network provides a strong foundation for its international ambitions, with its expanding showroom presence, dealership interest and ongoing efforts to develop the capabilities and partnerships required to establish Kinetic as a global electric mobility brand.
The international expansion marks the next phase of Kinetic EV’s growth journey, as the company seeks to combine its domestic electric mobility momentum with opportunities across emerging global EV markets.
