Coforge expands AI-powered intelligence across the vehicle lifecycle

Coforge Limited has announced enhanced capabilities designed to transform conventional vehicle inspections into a more intelligent, data-driven process, enabling organisations to make quicker decisions around repairs, certification, vehicle routing and resale.

For organisations managing vehicles at the end of a lease, fleet cycle or financing period, establishing an accurate picture of a vehicle’s condition can be challenging. Information is often distributed across different systems, while inspection findings may not be readily connected with a vehicle’s wider history. Coforge’s expanded solution aims to address this gap by creating a unified digital record of each vehicle’s condition.

Before an inspection begins, the solution brings together key information such as the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), mileage, maintenance records and vehicle return data. During the inspection, structured workflows capture 360-degree evidence of the vehicle’s condition, including assessments of wear and other relevant observations.

These inputs are consolidated into a trusted vehicle condition record that can be accessed across subsequent stages of the vehicle lifecycle. By connecting historical information with inspection evidence and operational context, the platform is designed to give businesses a clearer basis for decisions following vehicle return.

Niraj Patel, Senior Vice President, Coforge, said vehicle inspections deliver greater value when captured information is transformed into intelligence that informs decisions beyond documentation. He highlighted the role of a trusted condition record in helping organisations respond more quickly to requirements involving repairs, certification, routing and remarketing.

The solution is already being used at scale, supporting more than 60,000 vehicles annually. Coforge said converting inspection information into actionable intelligence can help organisations reduce process delays while improving decision-making across vehicle remarketing operations.

The development reflects the growing use of AI and connected data in automotive lifecycle management, where inspection information can play a role not only in recording vehicle condition but also in determining the next operational and commercial step for each vehicle.
