SATRAC Appoints Sunil Dixit as Managing Director & CEO, Sets Stage for Next Phase of Growth

With over three decades of experience across manufacturing, engineering and supply chain operations, Sunil Dixit takes charge of SATRAC as founder MC Bantwal transitions to responsibilities with Kyokuto International operations.

SATRAC has appointed Sunil Dixit as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), bringing an experienced manufacturing and engineering leader into the top executive role as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.

Dixit’s appointment brings extensive operational experience to SATRAC, a manufacturer of trailers, truck bodies, tankers and other transportation solutions serving India’s commercial transport industry. His background spans manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain management and product support—functions central to operational performance in the commercial vehicle value chain.

The leadership transition also marks a change in responsibilities for founder MC Bantwal, who will move to responsibilities with Kyokuto International operations while continuing to contribute to SATRAC’s journey.

A Career Built Across Manufacturing and Engineering

Dixit brings more than three decades of professional experience, having held leadership positions at Larsen & Toubro (L&T), CNH, JCB, Eicher Polaris and Schwing Stetter.

Most recently, he served as President at Schwing Stetter India, where he was responsible for manufacturing operations and projects. His experience across these organisations has involved operational leadership, manufacturing execution and supply chain-related functions.

This breadth of experience provides a strong operational foundation for his new responsibilities at SATRAC, where manufacturing capability, product quality and execution are important to serving commercial transportation requirements.

Strengthening SATRAC’s Operational Capabilities

SATRAC operates in a segment where product reliability, manufacturing precision and consistent quality directly influence the performance of commercial transport equipment. Its portfolio includes trailers, truck bodies, tippers, tankers and bulkers designed for applications across India’s transport and industrial sectors.

As customer requirements and operating conditions evolve, manufacturers must maintain a balance between engineering capability, production efficiency, product durability and responsive service support.

Dixit’s experience across manufacturing and business operations is relevant to these priorities. SATRAC has highlighted his track record in building high-performing teams, strengthening organisational capabilities, driving operational excellence and supporting sustainable business growth.

His appointment places these capabilities at the centre of the company’s leadership as it moves into its next stage of development.

Leadership Transition at SATRAC

The appointment also signals a transition in the company’s leadership structure. Founder MC Bantwal will take up responsibilities with Kyokuto International operations while continuing to contribute to SATRAC’s journey.

The transition brings experienced executive leadership to SATRAC while maintaining the founder’s continued involvement in its broader journey. The company has described this phase as an opportunity to strengthen its capabilities and pursue further growth and expansion.

Looking Ahead

Dixit’s appointment brings together extensive manufacturing experience and leadership across established engineering and automotive organisations. His mandate comes at a time when operational efficiency, quality and dependable product performance remain essential to India’s commercial transportation industry.

As Managing Director and CEO, he will lead SATRAC through its next phase of development, with the company emphasising capability building, operational excellence and sustainable growth.

The appointment marks a significant leadership development for SATRAC as it continues to build on its position in the trailers and truck bodies segment.
